THE VANCE CENTER HAS DEVELOPED SPECIAL INITIATIVES to address issues of particular urgency and significance, which our pro bono and other networks are well-suited to support us
Launched in September 2018 in response to the U.S. government’s “Zero Tolerance” policy, the Vance Center’s Keep Families Together initiative connects Latin American pro bono counsel to assist U.S. immigration lawyers representing children, families, and asylum seekers.
AMAmericas is the informal alliance of pro bono lawyers working since 2012 to secure the right for marriage equality in Latin American countries.
The Vance Center has launched the Ukraine Project, with leadership by Taisa Markus, to address these issues. The Ukraine Project has three focuses: pro bono representation; research; and public engagement.
